I enjoy being able to help people and also enjoy being able to influence policy – being on a committee which is taking a bill through parliament can be very interesting. The worst part is when I am not able to help someone -in some cases there’s nothing I am able to do to help. Having to be away from home a lot can be a pain too, but you get used to it.
