That, to some extent, depends on what new things I learn by taking part in this. You can help me in that, by telling us what you think the youth champion should do to be the type of advocate that you want. To be an effective youth champion, I would need to really know what the concerns of today’s young people are. I am not going to script my actions on the basis of what I think they are.

For me, this about young people telling me how they want to be represented. It’s not about me telling you folk what I think is best for you

I can go along with that.
we’ve got to be realistic – we councillors dont tend to hang about in the places you like to be. if we did, you wouldn’t be there!…… so we hear your opinions second hand. Though for research i find the bus quite a good place to ask about things.

As i said in my profile- listen! There’s no point in trying to second guess what I think young people see as important, I have to listen to you but also you have to tell me what you see as important to you.

This will sound boringly consensual but agree with Ted, Jane and Alistair, its about dialogue and your telling us what you would like – and us being honest with you about what’s deliverable
