Not personally! The decision regarding how much of the council’s budget will go to schools will be taken by the Council over the next few months. However as the council is having to make savings it is unlikely that there will be more money for schools
I have to be honest and say that at the moment that’s not possible. It wouldn’t matter who was in charge, the country and the council are so short of money at the moment that it’s impossible to spend more on anything. What we have to do is try to ask everyone to do with less at the moment. For example, teachers will have less time off for preparation and correction. Sorry to be so gloomy but there’s no point in making promises I can’t fulfill!
