Question: As We were in a concession, why did the government choose to build DG1 and are doing far too many things to the town, that frankly we dont need!! Also as there are new houses being built in Dumfries, why is it always drug or drink addicts or ex criminals who all get the new houses when there are deisent good working people looking for a good home, for them and their family!!!!

the council made the decision to build DG1 some time ago before the recession because we needed better leisure facilities in Dumfries and the old swimming pool was falling to bits. The housing associations allocate hosues according to their points system and it depends how many points they have. We really need mroe houses in Dumfries and Galloway because there are so many people waiting for a home
