    IRight now I guess its how the cuts are going to affect services and jobs in Dumfries and Galloway. But lack of affordable housing and job opportunities are long standing problems in the town

    I think it is the general appearance of the town centre and the fact that so many shops have closed. The Council has plans to regenerate it and are working with the Chamber of Commerce on a number of issues. I think if we could encourage more shops to open, perhaps by offering free rates for a time to let them get established, more people would come and shop in the town.
