Question: my friends school bus used to cost £6 a week that bus went out of use and now it has been replaced by a bus that costs £12 a week how could you help lower this cost??

That’s a steep rise. I’d need to have more detail about that before I could try to do something about it. I take it the distance to school is less than 3 miles, otherwise you would be entitled to free transport. They must have changed the bus company or the bus company has managed to negotiate a new contract. Sadly there’s often not much we can do about bus prices as a council, because the subsidy the companies get is low and that makes them put up the prices for the passengers.
