Question: Hi Elaine, I live in the village of Cargenbridge, just outside Dumfries and there are no facilities available for children to play. Also, ever since the new school build, everything has been shut off to the community, for example a Multi Use Games Area located at the school is only available to be used one night a week. Whats the point in having it there if it only has limited usage? My brother and sister have been out playing football before on a patch of grass (all in the area have a "No Ball Games" sign) and local residents have complained at them and sometimes even called the police. I don't know if you can do anything about the lack of facilities but if you can, please get back to me. Thank You Very Much. Dylan Baxter

Hi Dylan. I’m very disappointed to learn that teh MUGA is only available to local young people once a week. Schools should be for community use too – I will take this up with teh Director for Education
