Question: Would tou introduce cheaper shopping prices for everything eg 25% off everything on the last friday of every month?

    That would be difficult to do – shops might object to being forced to do this by government. But its a very good idea and perhaps somw shops will take it on voluntarily

    I’d love that but, sadly, it’s not within my power. I think it would encourage us to buy things we don’t particularly need or want. I know I have a lot of bargains in my wardrobe that I never wear but just had to buy because they were reduced.

    That’s an interesting idea. I don’t think Tesco and Morrisons would be too keen, but there’s a tremendous amount of waste due to the big retail firms’ sell by date policy. Perfectly good food is thrown out because it’s past the ‘sell by’ date. Perhaps they could be persuaded to sell it cheap on the last Friday of the month, as you say. I don’t know how other goods could be sold cheap. They are already at sales, of course. I suppose we could have the sales on the last Friday of the month.
